Student Council

The Student Council of St. Joseph's College of Law is the elected representative body of the student community. It serves as the voice of students in the life of the College, working in partnership with the Management, the Principal, faculty members and administrative staff to build a campus culture that is inclusive, responsible and intellectually alive.

Rooted in the Jesuit ideal of forming men and women for and with others, the Council offers students an opportunity to exercise leadership in a spirit of service. Council members coordinate academic, co-curricular, cultural and sporting activities, represent the concerns of their peers, and help ensure that every student has fair access to the opportunities the College offers.

  1. Representing the views, suggestions and concerns of students to the College administration.
  2. Planning and coordinating student activities, events and celebrations in collaboration with faculty coordinators.
  3. Supporting the work of the College's clubs, associations and committees, including the ADR, Debate, Law, Moot Court, Research, Cultural and Sports bodies.
  4. Promoting a safe, respectful and inclusive campus, with particular attention to the welfare of women students through the Women's Secretary.
