Samvaada 4.0 was organized as a support group initiative for women pursuing law, aimed at creating a safe and engaging space for students to discuss the barriers they face while entering and sustaining a career in legal practice. The event witnessed the participation of 42 students, who actively engaged in conversations about their experiences, concerns, and expectations regarding the legal profession. The session featured two alumni, Maeen Mavara and Diksha Garg, who are two practicing women advocates, who shared their journey in the field of legal practice. They spoke about the realities of working in the profession, the gender-related challenges they encountered, and the importance of resilience, confidence, and support systems for women aspiring to enter litigation and other areas of legal practice.

The session was highly interactive, encouraging students to participate openly and share their perspectives. Surveys were conducted during the event to understand students’ experiences and perceptions regarding the barriers they may face while pursuing careers in legal practice. The discussion that followed helped highlight common concerns while also offering practical insights and encouragement from the speakers. Overall, Samvaada 4.0 provided a meaningful platform for dialogue, mentorship, and collective reflection, helping students gain a clearer understanding of the professional landscape while fostering a sense of support and motivation among women aspiring to build careers in law.
