In collaboration with the Public Policy Committee and the Debate Society, the Model United Nations Society conducted its Orientation for the Academic year 2025-2026 on 11th September, 2025.

The event began with an address made by the Faculty Coordinator of the Model United Nations Society, Asst. Professor Edwin Joney, who brought out the various reasons as to how the Model United Nations could be a tool for bringing about resolutions for any on-going issues and how students can be intellectual in such settings.

Following which, the gathering was addressed by Ms. Ankitha, President of the Model United Nations Society, who went to give the vision of the same and what the committee aims to achieve throughout the academic year with the students and how the committee aims to create a platform for students, irrespective of their experience, to come forward to participate and learn the entire exercise. This was done while also briefly highlighting the events the committee had successfully conducted in the previous year, like the Intra-College Model United Nations Competition and Republique ‘25.

After this, a presentation was given by our fellow coordinators, Mr. Aaryan G Prem and Mr. Sudhay, who attended, participated and judged many Model United Nations Competitions across Bangalore and India. They respectively explained the protocols and procedures followed in MUN, who the participants were meant to address, the types of committees that were formed based on the issue that was to be discussed and what were different time periods in which each participant presented their issues while representing their respective countries.

The presentation concluded by announcing the events that were to be conducted by both the Debate Society and Model United Nations Society such as the Intra-College Debate Competition, the Inter-College Model United Nations Fest 2025 and other events that were to take place in the next semester, like Republique ‘26.

The event was brought to a conclusion by introducing the Student Coordinators of the Debate Society and the Model United Nations Society by the Faculty Coordinator. Presenting to you the Office bearers and Coordinators of the Model United Nations Society 2025-26:
