The Legal Aid Cell of St. Joseph’s College of Law organised a Legal Awareness Programme at Loyola Degree College on 13 May 2026. The programme was attended by nearly 160 students and aimed at spreading awareness on cyber safety, online scams, and legal remedies available against cyber offences.

The first session was conducted by Ms. Soundarya N on the topic “Risks and Scams Associated with Online Gaming,” where students were educated about online gaming frauds and precautionary measures for safe internet usage. Mr. Harish G then addressed the students on “Cyber Bullying, Online Harassment, and Related Scams,” followed by a session on the legal provisions and remedies available under Indian law to combat such offences.

The programme also included cultural performances by students of St. Joseph’s College of Law, which helped create an interactive and engaging atmosphere. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the college management, followed by lunch for all participants.
