On 26th September 2025, the Legal Aid Cell conducted a Legal Awareness Programme at St. Mary’s Girls High School, attended by nearly 650 students.

The first session featured a lecture by Mr. Harish (faculty coordinator) on the POCSO Act, Child Abuse, and Good and Bad Touch, assisted by Ms. Naveka (IV BA LL. B) and Ms. Faariya (IV BCOM LL. B). This was followed by a dance performance by SJCL students.

In the second session, Mr. Harish spoke on students’ and teachers’ rights, emphasizing a safe, fair, and productive learning environment. A group song by SJCL students preceded the third session, which was a quiz on POCSO and Good/Bad Touch, conducted by Fr. Shantharaj (III LL. B) and Mr. Tanush (III BCOM LL. B), with prizes for correct answers.

The programme concluded with a skit by SJCL students on POCSO and Good/Bad Touch, using drama, posters, and enactments to make complex legal provisions engaging and easy for children to understand.
