On 27th October, 2022 the Internship and Placement Cell organized an interactive session on on Placement Opportunities in Corporate Law Firms, the resource person was Ms. Karishma Dugar, Senior Associate, AZB & Partners, Bangalore. Ms Dugar deliberated upon the placement opportunities in various law firms. The webinar highlighted the means of securing placements, namely, via Placement Interviews and Review Internships. By use of relevant examples and her personal experience Ms. Dugar was able to guide the students well into understanding how to utilize the internship opportunities and to turn them into successful placement offers. The webinar was extremely instrumental in understanding the soft skills required to ace a placement interview and to formulate a general idea on the working of placements in law firms. Understandably, Placements and the process envisaged under them formulate an integral part of law school. In this vein, Ms. Dugar’s keen insights and experiences were of great assistance to students, particularly those in their final year. The webinar, addressed all aspects and different ways to score placements at top-tier firms. In particular, the brief overview of application process while seeking to apply at law firms, shed some light into the psychology of recruiters’ while assessing the Curriculum Vitae and/or Cover letters of the candidates.
