Report on the Documentary - India Untouched

16th April, 2025 saw the screening of India Untouched: Stories of a People Apart by Stalin K. The event aimed to shed light on the persistent issue of untouchability and caste-based discrimination in India, shedding light on the persistent social injustices faced by Dalits across various regions and religions.

The documentary spans eight Indian states and examines the experiences of Dalits within Hindu, Muslim, Christian, and Sikh communities. The film underscores that, despite legal prohibitions, caste-based discrimination remains deeply entrenched in both rural and urban settings

Following the screening, a discussion was held where the participants reflected on the film's impact, emphasizing the need for empathy, education, and legal awareness in combating caste discrimination.
