Objective:
The main objective of the Constitutional Awareness Program was to educate the students of classes (lPUC and llPUC) about the Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, and the Election Process in India. The aim was to help them understand how citizens choose their representatives through a democratic system and how the Constitution guarantees equal voting rights to everyone. It also aimed to make students aware of their duties and responsibilities as future voters and active citizens of India.

The Constitutional Awareness Program commenced at 8:30 AM on 6th November, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Pre-University College, Bangalore. The event was initiated to foster a deeper awareness and understanding of constitutional values among the attendees. The program began with a welcome address by the SJPUC Principal , setting a respectful and focused tone. More than 200+ students attended the program. This was followed by a solemn reading of the Preamble, collectively reaffirming the core principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

The central highlight of the program was a series of insightful presentations specifically for the First and Second PUC students. Faculty and student coordinators delivered a brief but comprehensive presentation on the Fundamental Rights, outlining the basic freedom guaranteed to every citizen. This was followed by an equally important session on the Fundamental Duties, emphasizing the corresponding civic responsibilities. Finally, an engaging presentation was conducted on the Indian Election Process educating the young students on its significance and their future role in the world's largest democracy.

The primary objective of the program was to move beyond theoretical knowledge and instill a practical appreciation for the Constitution. By simplifying complex constitutional themes and linking them to everyday life, the event aimed to nurture informed, responsible, and active citizens. The program concluded at 12:30 PM with a formal vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing committee and the enthusiastic participation of St. Joseph’s Pre- University students, followed by a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.

The session was exceptionally well-received by the students. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many participants noting that the presentations on fundamental rights and the election process were clear and highly relevant. A significant highlight was the interactive session in which the students actively engaged with the speakers, asking insightful questions and transforming the program into a dynamic and collaborative dialogue rather than a one-sided lecture.

Outcome:
The program helped students understand how elections are conducted in India—from voter registration to casting votes and declaring results. They learned about the role of the Election Commission, the importance of free and fair elections, and how every vote matters in a democracy. The session increased students’ awareness of their constitutional rights and duties and encouraged them to take part in building a responsible and informed society.
