On 15th May 2025, was the third edition of the much-anticipated annual film festival, CINEMATICA, which offered a refreshing break for students amidst the rigours of Internal Assessments, providing a space for cinematic engagement and thoughtful reflection.

The event drew enthusiastic participation from students, with attendance capped at 70 on a first-come-first-served basis. All participants were provided lunch and official attendance, contingent on their full-day presence.

The festival featured a compelling line-up of films that spanned across languages, genres, and cinematic traditions. The screenings included: Cinema Paradiso (1988), 19.20.21, and Two (1964).

The highlight of the event was the special guest, Tahera S, an accomplished theatre artist, director, and founder of Arena Theatre Productions. Known for her emotionally resonant performances and bold narratives, she captivated the audience with insights from her journey in theatre and storytelling. Her presence added a significant layer of depth and inspiration to the festival.

The event also sparked meaningful conversations about the power of cinema as a tool for social commentary and emotional expression.
