The AICUF unit of SJCL on 14 th November 2021, Sunday took part as volunteers in the initiative of the college in collaboration with BEMBALA, the BJES outreach wing in conducting the BALAMELA, an activities and games day for the children of the slums of Kacharkanahalli, Bengaluru.

The celebration commenced at 10 AM where the children were assembled at Jyoti School, Bengaluru. Starting with a short formal introduction programme the children were later divided into groups as per their age groups into three categories and planned games and activities were conducted. The AICUF students took active part in organizing the kids into groups and in facilitating and conducting the games and activities

Soon after the games and activities the children were served with lunch and were also given gifts (stationary) and the winners of the games, encouraged with prizes.

The children after the program returned homes with their hearts filled with joy, hands filled with gifts, and eyes filled with a dream for the future.
