The 8th of November 2024 saw a Guest Lecture conducted by Mr. Rohan Chinnappa, a senior associate at King Stubb & Kasiva who focuses primarily on general corporate and commercial work for Multinational and Indian Companies along with Private Equity and Venture Capital transactions, regularly advises clients on matters pertaining to labour laws, regulatory compliances, due diligence and general corporate transactions and is regularly involved in assisting Companies with the drafting and review of contractual documents, for the 4th and 5th year students of the 5-year program, and Final Year students of the 3 year LLB program.

Mr. Chinnappa began the session by delving into his time at SJCL, and what made him pursue law, how he applied to different firms, how the interviews went, what he thought he could’ve done better, how he secured an internship assessment at KSK, his current place of employment, and how he navigated the job, what else he learned from that and the various aspects of corporate law (something which he was previously unfamiliar with).

The session concluded after a Q and A session where students clarified a lot of their questions and fears and gained clarity and reassurance marking a successful end.
