Maha Parinirvana Dina

A special program was organized on 6th December to commemorate the death anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

The event aimed to reflect on Dr. Ambedkar’s life, legacy, and the profound impact he had on shaping a more inclusive and equitable society.

Prof. Blessy Sudarsan opened the session by explaining the significance of observing Maha Parinirvana Dina and Dr. Ambedkar’s unparalleled contributions to social justice.

Prof. Surjeeth Rahulji followed up with a detailed exploration of Dr. Ambedkar’s early life and the numerous challenges he overcame as a member of a marginalized community and his pivotal role in caste reform, advocacy for women's rights, and belief in education and law as powerful tools for social transformation.

Students left the program with a deeper understanding of Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions to the nation and were inspired to adopt his principles of justice, equality, and fraternity in their own lives.
