Legal Awareness Camp at a Slum near Banashankari

An awareness camp at a slum near Banashankari in association with APFJ (Association of Prisoners Families for Justice) was held on 15th November 2024.

The agenda of this awareness camp was to educate the people of that slum regarding their human and constitutional rights, how to tackle a situation of police arrests without a warrant and any other related issues.

In addition, an effort was made by the student coordinators and volunteers of Legal Aid Cell to find out how many of them do not have e-shram cards and how many of them have not applied for the State Government's five schemes to ascertain the familial problems that they are facing.

The students concluded with a prolonged interactive conversation to make them aware of the laws that are available for their rescue, if ever there is a need.
