Karnataka State Law University conducted inter-collegiate Basketball tournament on 10th and 11th January 2024 at M.S. Ramaiah College of Law, Bengaluru. Amongst Boys, a total of 18 colleges/teams participated and amongst Girls, a total of 10 colleges/teams participated in the said inter-collegiate Basketball tournament.

The SJCL Basketball girls team played against the host team and faced a defeat before entering the Quarter-Finals round. The SJCL Basketball boys team played and won comprehensively against the Govt. Law College, Hassan; KLE Law College, Bengaluru; and Kristu Jayanti College of Law, Bengaluru before clashing with the host team in Finals. The Final match between M.S. Ramaiah College of Law, Bengaluru v/s. St. Joseph’s College of Law saw an exhilarating and frolicsome atmosphere. The Basketball court was bursting with great zeal, excitement, cheers and encouragement as the players of both the colleges gave their best version, showcasing basketball prowess thereby guaranteeing true sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Albeit the final match was filled with great fervour, the host team outclassed and defeated the defending champions. The players of St. Joseph's College of Law, Bengaluru ended up as Runners.

At the end of the day, the game is not only about winning – it is also about knowing how to accept the defeat gracefully. It is about trying to strategize and also evaluate the strengths, hope and weaknesses, which indeed motivated the Runners-up team to perform better.
