ADR committee organized a workshop focused on “Mastering the Art of ADR: Insights and Strategies for Competition” on 1st August 2024. The session featured students who had previously excelled in ADR competitions.

The presenters began by providing an overview if various ADR competitions, including their format and the nature of challenges involved.

1. Negotiation
Angela and Meghna Joseph, fifth year students, led the discussion on negotiation. They outlined the key components of effective negotiation and shared practical strategies for success in competition settings. Their guidance included practical tips on how to approach negotiation scenarios in competitions and strategies for effective resolution.

2. Mediation
Naveka and Yasir explained the mediation process, detailing the steps involved and offering insights into effective mediation techniques. They detailed each step of mediation, from initial contact to final resolution. Their session included strategies for facilitating discussions, managing conflicts, and achieving mutually agreeable solutions.

The workshop concluded with a dynamic Q&A session. Students had opportunity to ask questions and engage with the presenters on specific challenges and scenarios related to ADR competitions. This interactive session allowed participants to gain advice and clarifications on competitions. The workshop successfully offered practical insights and strategic advice for students interested in ADR competitions.
