The Sports Committee of St. Joseph’s College of Law organized its first ever Walkathon event on the 1st of June, titled Eco-Stride in the heart of Bengaluru. The primary objective of Eco-Stride was to raise awareness about climate change and promote sustainable practices among the community and the society.

Participants gathered early morning at the SJCL Campus, where they received eco-friendly caps, which was green in color, emphasizing the event’s commitment to environmental consciousness. The Walkathon commenced at 7:00 am and traversed through the City’s Main Streets, drawing attention from bystanders and the passersby.

Eco-Stride featured Mr. Danny Danz (Actor) and Mr. Vivian George (Fitness Coach) as its Chief Guest and Guest of Honor, who actively who took part in the event from the very beginning.

Throughout the route, banners and signboards displayed informative messages about climate change, urging everyone to adapt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.

At this Juncture, SJCL would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to the Bangalore City Traffic Police who helped us in the smooth conduct of the event, which wouldn’t have been possible to conduct without their support.

Eco-Stride not only promoted physical activity but also served as a powerful platform to advocate for environmental stewardship and inspire meaningful change. St. Joseph’s College of Law, Bengaluru reaffirms its dedication to fostering environmental awareness and sustainability among its students and the wider community.
