Two-day Orientation programme was scheduled on 9/11/22 and 10/11/22 for all the first-year batches of BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCOM LLB, and LLB the academic year 2022-23. On the first day the orientation was inaugurated by invocation and lighting of the lamp by the Director, Principal, Vice Principal, representatives from faculty, admin staff, parents and students. Welcome address was delivered by Principal Ms Pauline Priya. First session was addressed by the Director Fr Jerald D’Souza, on the vision, mission, motto and pedagogy of legal education at SJCL.

Second session was addressed by the Vice President and Rector of BJES Rev Fr Brian Pereira SJ, on the brief evolution of Jesuit community, ideologies, Vision, mission pedagogy of Jesuit education. Vote of thanks for the all the morning sessions was delivered by Dr Sneha Balaraj, Vice Principal. Post a short tea break Principal Ms Pauline Priya held a session on CAMPUS BRIEFING.

Post lunch break session ice breaking activities were conducted by Prof Thomas Alexander and his team. The final session of day was addressed by Rev Fr Jossie D’Mello SJ on the topic “GOALS OF JESUIT EDUCATION” followed by question-and-answer session with the audience. The speaker was introduced by Mr Abhishek and Vote of thanks delivered by faculty Ms. Sangeetha Thomas.

Second day orientation began with Invocation. The first session was addressed by Prof (Dr) Rahul Singh, National law school of India university, Bangalore on the topic “The scope of legal education”. The speaker was introduced by Ms Aiswarya and vote of thanks was delivered by Mr Sudeep Sudakaran.

The second session post short tea break was addressed by Ms Ami Joshi, Assistant Professor, St Joseph’s University, Bangalore, on the topic “Nurturing self-confidence and Goal setting”. The speaker was introduced by Mr Thomas C and vote of thanks was delivered by Ms Surya.

Post lunch break ice breaking session was conducted the by faculty Mr Thomas Alexander and team. And the last session of the second day orientation program was on committee briefing. Faculty coordinators of Law and Non law committee briefed the object and proposed activities of the committees for the odd semester of the academic year 2022-23
