The Bangalore city police took the initiative of organising a drug awareness programme at St Joseph’s College of law on 20.12.23. The Assistant police commissioner Shri Balakrishna in his address educated students on the various laws relating to punishments around drug usage and raised awareness on the harmful effects of drug usage on young students. He also highlighted various cases through his experience where he threw light on the adverse impact of drugs on the physical and mental health of the youth.

The Director Fr Jerald D’Souza also addressed students encouraging to adopt methods and ways to channelize their energy in the right direction and refrain from succumbing to peer pressure that usually drives youngsters to experimenting with drugs and narcotics.
