The Legal Aid Committee at St. Joseph’s College of Law, Bengaluru visited Loyola Educational Institutions, Manvi, Raichur on 18^th and 19^th November 2023 to attend ‘Balamela – 2023’ organized by Loyola Institutions, Manvi and co-organized by United Way, Bengaluru and St. Joseph's College of Law, Bengaluru.

Ten students (Ms. Vimala Mary, Ms. Harshini. C. Reddy, Ms. Ivy Crowny, Ms. Pooja, Ms. Rachana, Mr. Shreyas Gowda, Mr. Ajay Peter, Mr. Lohith, Mr. Mallikarjun and Mr. Mrudhul) of St. Joseph’s College of Law, Bengaluru and Prof. Harish attended this event and organized various cultural events as well as recreational games for the children studying in several schools/study centers’ in and around Manvi, Raichur. The aforesaid students were divided in four groups and were delegated to look after i) competitions such as essay writing, pick and speak and chess; ii) to coordinate in organizing various recreational games; iii) to upkeep the discipline of the children in and around the games stalls and lastly iv) to coordinate with the stage set-up and other allied activities. A total number of 700+ children attended this event and they were accompanied by their respective school/study centers’ Teachers.

The major agenda of organizing this event is to highlight, identify and display the children’s talent. This even was Chaired by Sri. Shashikant Shivapure, Deputy Secretary, Zilla Panchayat, Manvi, Raipur along with several dignitaries.
