On 29th October, 2022 a series of webinars was organized to help the students understand the role of internships and of placements in varied law firms by the Internship and Placement Cell. The resource person was Mr. Gerald Manoharan, Partner, Jyoti Sagar Associates, Bangalore. Mr. Manoharan’s presentation of internships as more than a mere course requirement, but as a tool in harmonizing one’s passion with a career in law, effectively set the tone for understanding the need of internships in the life of a law student. The insights presented by Mr. Manoharan, holistically explained the role of an intern and to enhance any internship experience and to successfully convert the same to a job/placement offer. Mr. Manoharan’s simple and humble approach to the topic incentivized students greatly to ask questions to better their understanding of internships beyond the scope of a course mandate. Coming from a position of vast experience. Mr. Manoharan emphasized that the quality of internship and the experience thus gained trumps the quantity of internships on a Curriculum Vitae. Our students had much to take away from the webinar and we are immensely grateful to Mr. Manoharan for the same.
