The AICUF unit of SJCL organised the ‘Christmas Charity Fun Fest’ on 19th December 2023, in the college auditorium, with an objective of raising fund for the purpose of charity and the outreach expenses. The fund raiser, which was an output of meticulous planning and several sit in sessions with both the students and faculty coordinator envisaged to raise the fund by setting up over 24 food and games stalls. The food and games stalls were set up by the around 70 AICUF member volunteers, and coordinated by 9 office bearers, who either prepared the food themselves or organized it with the collaboration of third party. The stalls were open on the day during the extended morning and lunch breaks during which the students and the staff of the college enjoyed a variety of food and games in the stalls. The AICUF office bearers and members, actively organised and animated the stalls which ensued encouraging participation of most of the students by their exuberant presence and purchase. The day also had the picking up of the lucky winners of the lucky draw that was held soon after the last hour of the class. Attractive gifts such as smart watch, Bluetooth speaker and Parken Pen was given away for the lucky draw winners by Fr. Jerald D’Souza and Mr. Thomas Alexandar. With all these elements of fun and frolic the event turned out to be a fun filled day for the student’s college in which the participants poured their hearts out in joy and merrymaking. It had filled the college with an ambience of festivity which went on go in as one of the most cherished events of the college. The proceeds of the sales of the stalls and the luck draw coupons were later submitted to the Director to be allocated purpose of the event.
