The event began with a group photo with the management, judges, faculty coordinators, student coordinators and participants, marking the official start of the program and creating a memorable beginning to the event.

The event was designed to encourage students to explore entrepreneurial, financial and marketing perspectives while preserving the traditional Chittara art form, a cultural heritage native to Karnataka. Chittara art originates from the Deevaru community of the Sagar region and has traditionally been practiced by women during auspicious ceremonies and festivals, symbolizing prosperity, protection and cultural identity.

The competition consisted of three rounds, each focusing on different aspects of business innovation and strategy related to Chittara art.

Teams presented financial strategies including startup capital, sources of funding, capital budgeting, risk analysis and feasibility of the venture. The round tested the participants understanding of financial planning, investment strategies and long-term sustainability of a cultural enterprise.

Round 2 – Kala Shakthi (Marketing):
The second round focused on marketing creativity and brand development. Teams designed a digital marketing campaign to introduce Chittara-inspired products to modern audiences. Participants developed branding strategies, defined target markets, planned pricing models and presented innovative promotional ideas using digital media.

Round 3 – Chittara Sankalpa (Final Pitch):
The final round challenged participants to present a technology-enabled business idea that integrates tradition with innovation. Teams proposed ventures that utilized tools such as digital platforms, AI or other technologies while maintaining cultural integrity and ensuring legal and ethical compliance.
